Gluten-Free Recipes
Baking Suggestions
* Bake in quantity once you have mastered a recipe. This will save lots of time in the kitchen later. Freeze what you will not need in zip lock bags. Trial and error will show you just how much time in the microwave is perfect for defrosting these items.
* Don't run out to purchase a bread baking machine. Many find they get better results if they do not use a bread machine. Before making a costly purchase, you may want to try the old tried and true oven bread baking method.
* Refrigerate bean flours. Bean flours and nut flours tend to spoil, so be sure to refrigerate or freeze these flours.
Favorite Easy GF Recipes
Easy Bread Recipe - This recipe makes great rolls. It can easily be converted to a loaf pan bread or cinnamon bread. You can be creative and turn it into coffee cake or cinn-a-buns, too.
White Cake - Wonderful as a Birthday cake with any kind of gf frosting. It will also make a fantastic strawberry shortcake.
Chocolate Cake - Probably the best chocolate cake you will ever taste. Try it with chocolate frosting and Comstock cherries in-between the layers.
Pumpkin Cake / Muffins - Even people who hate pumpkin loves this recipe. Try it as a cake or muffins with cream cheese frosting and you will get raves.
New York Cheesecake - And it's REALLY from New York! This can easily be made crustless (easier and fewer calories).
Snickerdoodles - These snickerdoodles are absolutely scrumptious! Hide them from the non-gf'ers unless you want to be baking a weekly batch. They store well, too. They'll keep in a tin for weeks but, trust me, they won't last that long.
Cream Puffs/Eclairs - Pooofy-Yummy-Better than even non-gf cream puffs (works well as eclairs too). Of course! They use special gourmet flours!!!
Chile/Cheese Cornbread- Moist and delicious cornbread that's a treat with any meal.
M&M Cookies - Fat, yummy M & M cookies that just beg for a tall glass of milk and a rainy day.
